Saint Timothy School Catholic Identity & Spiritual Life
St. Timothy Catholic School has a unique spiritual life. The students attend an all school Mass once a week and our priests, Fr. Rick Bolte and Fr. Michael Elmlinger plan their homilies specifically for our students. The students are actively involved throughout the entire Mass through serving, lecturing, and singing in our school choir. All of our students attend Adoration and Benediction on the First Friday of each month and each student participates in the sacrament of reconciliation once a month as well.
Our middle school students have the opportunity to journal back and forth with our priests through our “Father Files” program. This program gives our older students an opportunity to write our priests and ask them specific questions about the faith, Mass, their vocations…. the list goes on and on. All of our students participate in faith teams where the students are divided into groups with mixed grade levels, this develops a sense of community and comradery. These groups meet once a month and complete fun-filled activities for all ages and as a result, our older students really take care of our younger students and the younger students tend to look at our middle school students as role models.
We begin our day with student directed prayer intentions, information on the saint of the day and communal prayer over the daily announcements. Our students also participate in communal prayer as a decade of the Rosary is said each day (grades 3-8). Students pray prior to snack, lunch and at the end of the day. Our students are excited about their faith because of the way that our teachers present to them. The students have a lot of activates to assist them in not just hearing about their faith, but experiencing their faith! Our faith especially comes to life through our Service Learning Program.
First Reconciliation & First Communion Information
Celebrating the Sacrament of Reconciliation prior to Holy First Communion is a great way to reinforce the importance of all the Sacraments and bring your child and family closer to Jesus.
Dress Rehearsal and Pictures for First Communion:
- Students will be seated for First Communion in alphabetical order. Only the First Communicant and parents sit in the assigned pew, with the exception of younger siblings. There is room for all Family members in the surrounding areas of the church. Please contact Carol Lense with any questions on scheduling or seating, such as identification of cousins, who should sit on the same side for the convenience of the family.
- Class pictures are taken by Lifetouch. All students, catechists, and Fr. Bolte and Fr. Hennessey will be photographed for each class picture. Individual pictures are optional. All additional group and individual pictures that you would like to take will need to be taken away from the professional photography area.

Family Service Hours
Athletics
St. Timothy Athletics is proud to offer the following activities for our students. For more information about our athletic group, please contact Chris Vogt at cvogt3@gmail.com.
Volleyball
Saint Timothy Catholic School has volleyball teams in recreational leagues for girls from grades third through eighth. Registration for girls’ volleyball occurs in May, near the end of the school year. The girls’ volleyball season starts in mid-August and runs until late October.
Basketball
St. Timothy offers recreational basketball teams for all students in first through eighth grades. Registration for St. Timothy basketball teams occurs in late August. The basketball season for both boys and girls typically starts in late October and finishes in early to mid-March. St. Timothy teams play in leagues hosted by a variety of diocesan Catholic schools.
Soccer
St. Timothy affiliated soccer teams compete in the Boone County Youth Soccer Association league. STCS students register with BCYSA through the standard registration process, and designate their desire to be placed on an STCS affiliated team. This allows students to participate on a team with their classmates wearing uniforms supplied by STCS. BCYSA registration is conducted by the league in October (for the next spring) and May (for the upcoming fall).
Archery
Saint Timothy Catholic School participates in NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) for students in grades 4-8. Boys and girls sign up in October when practices begin. Tournaments are held at various Northern Kentucky schools through March. Archery is an exciting sport that teaches discipline and patience, as archers compete against their own scores from one tournament to the next, as well as against other archers. No previous experience is needed for students to join the archery team, and STCS Boosters has purchased all of the equipment for our school team.
