Kindergarten

Our academic based kindergarten program focuses on the foundations of successful learning and also stresses development of appropriate social interaction in the classroom and during play time, all in preparation for a seamless transition into first grade.  Kindergarten students also receive class instruction in music, Spanish, art, physical education and STREAM.  We meet the individual needs of each kindergartener through differentiated learning instruction, using Response to Intervention and developmentally appropriate practices for each student. The curriculum combines traditional and innovative teaching methods, challenging students to their fullest potential. We want each child to feel success.  In addition to academics, St. Timothy also places significant emphasis on service learning in order to instill a strong sense of community and selflessness at a young age.   Our goal is to foster, in partnership with families, faith-filled, service-oriented kindergarteners who are independent thinkers and active learners in achieving academic excellence.
